Burke, Harvey & Frankowski are representing the families of three quilters in Gee's Bend, Ala. The artists had crafted bold, improvisational quilts that have been documented in films and sold around the world-turning the quilters into "icons of American art."

But the artists' families allege that a trio of art dealers who brought the quilts into prominence did not fairly compensate the artists for their quilts and the rights to replicate them. The quilters' families are suing the art dealers, claiming that the dealers defrauded the artists of thousands of dollars in quilt sales and royalties.

Burke, Harvey & Frankowski are fighting to obtain punitive damages for the quilters' families, along with compensation for their grief and anguish.
